Popular cars are rarely discontinued in India, and what is even more rare is them making a comeback. However, Skoda is going to change the notion as it is going to re-introduce the Superb and Octavia in India. Both the sedans were discontinued last year due to the implementation of the BS-6 stage-2 norms. So when are they coming back? Let’s talk about these 2 New Skoda cars.

Petr Janeba, brand director of Skoda Auto India, has revealed that the brand plans to bring back the Superb and Octavia. Firstly, the brand plans to re-introduce the previous generation of Superb in India. The only drawback is that it would come as a CBU import, leading to it being more expensive. Will the new Superb not come to India? That is also expected but would come probably next year. Along with the Superb, Skoda is also working on the return of the Octavia. Like the Superb, the Octavia could also come as an import to India.

Along with the Superb and Octavia, Skoda is also working on facelift updates for the Slavia and Kushaq. Before the facelift updates, Skoda is expected to bring some special edition models. Skoda’s big-ticket project is going to be the compact SUV that was recently spotted testing. If done right, the compact SUV could bring much-needed numbers for Skoda. The Czech brand is also looking to enter the EV segment with the Enyaq iV expected to be launched by the end of 2024. It is also rumoured to be working on a compact SUV EV for India. So, all in all, Skoda does have a lot of products lined up for the Indian market.
