Skoda Kushaq Explorer Edition to take on the Creta
Another day, another edition from Skoda India! To attract the customers, Skoda India has been launching a plethora of editions of the Kushaq and Slavia. We have seen elegance edition, style edition, anniversary edition and more for Kushaq and Slavia. This time around it has showcased the new explorer edition. It is the Skoda Kushaq Explorer which will be based on the style variant of the SUV.

Skoda Kushaq Explorer
Skoda Kushaq is a mid-size compact SUV available with front wheel drive option only. Now a FWD car cannot be an SUV as the off-road capabilities of such SUVs is pretty low. However to make the car appear like an rugged SUV, Skoda has introduced the Kushaq Explorer edition. The edition does not come with any 4X4 capabilities but gets some visual tweaks and new features.
As far as styling goes, the Kushaq Explorer will get an optional matte paint, which in pictures does look very pleasant. There are also some subtle orange highlights on the body which goes well with the matte paint. Some added accessories include a roof rack with attached aux light bar and tow hook. Finally, the Kushaq Explorer is also equipped with off-road tyres with a profile of 215/65 R16. The alloys are inch smaller than standard Kushaq but the wider rubber and sidewall does look intimidating. Other added features are head up display, 360-degree camera, and an upgraded reverse camera.
What Else?
Rest, the Kushaq Explorer will likely continue to offer everything the standard Style variant offers. It comes with an 8.0-inch touchscreen system, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, ventilated & powered front seats, wireless charging pad, digital instrument cluster, LED headlamps & LED tail lamps, and a lot more. Even the engine specifications will be identical. The options include 1.0-litre (114 178Nm) turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre (148bhp & 250Nm) turbo petrol engine. The transmission options include – manual, automatic and DCT gearboxes.
Skoda Kushaq Explorer – Launch & Price
Skoda has just unveiled the Kushaq Explorer and should be launched in coming few weeks. Talking about pricing, the Kushaq Explorer will be positioned above the standard Style variant. Currently, the Skoda Kushaq has been priced between Rs 14 lakh to Rs 24.09 (on-road, Mumbai).
