2024 Tata Curvv launch timeline confirmed!

Tata’s much-anticipated car of the year is the Curvv. At the Bharat Mobility Show, Tata showcased an almost production-ready version of the coupe SUV. Now, the brand has confirmed the launch timeline of the EV and ICE options. So, let’s talk about the 2024 Tata Curvv launch timeline.

Launch timeline

In its investor meeting, Tata confirmed the launch timeline of the EV and ICE Curvv. The brand plans to launch the Curvv EV between July and September 2024. After that, Tata plans to launch the ICE option three to four months after the launch of the EV version. Tata could be targeting a festive season launch to attract customers. 

2024 Tata Curvv – Design

The Curvv comes with a coupe-SUV design. The front comes with LED DRLs similar to the Nexon facelift. The EV Curvv doesn’t come with a grille, while the ICE version gets a chequered grille design. Both concepts come with a sharp design language with lots of cuts and creases. At the rear, we get to see inverted L-shaped LED taillamps running through the entire width of the tailgate.

Interiors

In the interiors, the Curvv follows a simple but practical approach. It gets a simple dashboard with a floating infotainment system in the middle. Other interior features include a two-spoke steering wheel and digital instrument cluster. On the steering wheel, we have media controls and an illuminated Tata logo like the newly launched Nexon. Other features on the Curvv include a panoramic sunroof and a powered tailgate. 

Specifications

Tata hasn’t revealed the specifications of the Curvv. Just speculating, the Curvv EV is expected to come with a 50kWh or 60kWh battery pack. Powering it could be the new gen-2 motor that debuted with the new Nexon. What power figures it will produce on the Curvv is still anyone’s guess. There is more clarity regarding the petrol/diesel specifications. Tata recently confirmed that the Curvv will come with the 1.5-litre diesel that also powers the Nexon. Petrol options are yet to be confirmed, but we could see a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit could also come with a CNG option. 

2024 Tata Curvv – Price

Curvv ICE could be priced similarly to its other C-SUV rivals. So, we can expect the price to start from Rs 12 lakh and go to Rs 24 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). While the EV version could be priced from Rs 18 lakh or Rs 19 lakh to not overlap with the Nexon EV. The higher variants could go up to Rs 26 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
