The first product from Tata Motors to launch with AWD will be the Harrier EV, which was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. Built on the recently unveiled Activ.ev platform, the new Tata Harrier EV is expected to go on sale by end of 2024.

At launch, the new model will be offered with both single motor (FWD) and dual motor (AWD) layout. While exact powertrain figurers are still under wraps, we expect the Harrier EV to come provided with a 60-kWh battery pack offering up to 500 km of range on the single motor model while the range can drop to around 400 km on the AWD model.

Making a grand comeback in the Indian market, the Sierra nameplate will be offered as an EV this time around. Fourth product to be built on the Activ.ev platform, the Tata Sierra EV will be offered with RWD or AWD layout. Due to its size, we expect the Sierra to offer a larger battery pack (up to 70 kWh) when compared to the Harrier EV. Despite the bigger battery, the Sierra EV is expected to return around 500 km of range while producing up to 200 bhp of peak power.

The new premium 4-door SUV will feature large wrap around glass area with signature glazing as a nod to the previous generation model. Despite its compact dimensions, the new Sierra will offer a roomy and spacious interior, accentuated by layered and horizontal interior design theme and colour way. Additionally, the lounge seats with business class style reclining function helps improve legroom without compromising on utility.
