MG Hector price hiked! What is MG upto?

In the last one month we have been covering news of car brands revising the pricing. Few announced discounts while many hiked the prices. Even the MG Hector received a price revision and received a discount of Rs 27,000 to Rs 1.21 lakh. However, they have now set to increase the pricing of Hector. So how much will MG charge for the Hector? Well, let’s find out.

MG Hector – Revised Pricing 

Talking about the pricing revisions, the Hector will receive an increment of up to Rs 40,000. It will be applied to both petrol and diesel variants. The increase of Rs 40,000 will be applicable to the diesel variants while the petrol variants will see a hike of Rs 35,000. According to some sources, the updated prices of the MG Hector will come into effect from 1st November 2023. Currently the MG Hector starts at Rs 17.46 lakh (on-road, Mumbai) and goes all the way up to Rs 26.54 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). 

Specifications 

MG Hector is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. Talking about the petrol engine, it is a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 141bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated with a 6-speed manual and CVT transmissions. The diesel engine is the 2.0-litre unit sourced from the Fiat. It is the same engine that also powers the Harrier and Jeep Compass and Meridian. The 2.0-litre diesel engine is capable of producing 168bhp and 350Nm of torque and comes mated with a sole 6-speed manual transmission.

MG Hector – Features 

MG Hector has always been a feature loaded SUV. The list includes – a panoramic sunroof, 14-inch infotainment system, 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, digital instrument cluster, 8-speaker Infinity sound system, steering mounted audio controls, electric tailgate with gestures, 6-way powered driver seat, air purifier, and ADAS.
