The Nexon facelift has stolen the crown of most feature-loaded car from the Sonet. Kia would want to take back the crown in the facelift. In the facelift, we can expect some subtle design changes. We don’t expect major interior changes. However, Kia could give it new features like an electric driver seat, 360-degree camera, heads-up display and cooled glove box. We could also see ADAS on the Kia Sonet facelift. Specs-wise, it should come with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. What about the launch? Kia is expected to launch the Sonet facelift by the end of this year or early next year. Expect a price hike of Rs 60k to 70k depending upon the variants. Currently, the pricing of Sonet starts from Rs 9.13 lakh and goes to Rs 17.87 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The XUV300 currently competes with the Nexon but is nowhere near its sales. To close this gap, Mahindra is working on the XUV300 facelift. From the spy shots, the XUV300 facelift is going to get a BE-inspired design. However, a major change is expected in the interior. We could see a new dashboard layout with a bigger infotainment system. Mahindra could also change the HVAC controls to add modernity to the cabin. We could see new features like a panoramic sunroof, ADAS, ventilated seats and wireless charging. Specification-wise, it should continue with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre turbo GDI and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The XUV300 facelift is expected to be launched sometime in 2024.
