Jeep India is experiencing quite a torrid time in the Indian market. It is the least-selling manufacturer in the country. Jeep will need to turn the tide quickly, and to that effect, it has launched the updated Jeep Compass. In this update, Jeep has added a new 2WD automatic option on the Compass and some exterior changes. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2023 Jeep Compass.

All variants come with refreshed alloy wheels, while the Limited and Model S get a new chrome grille. 

Jeep has launched the new Compass in five variants – Sport, Longitude, Longitude, Limited and Model S. The base Sport variants continue with a 2WD manual option with a price of Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Then we have the Longitude variant with 2WD manual and automatic. Jeep has added new things like a panoramic sunroof and wireless charging on the Longitude.

The Jeep Compass Limited variant now comes with a black shark edition with all-black interiors, black alloy wheels and ‘ignite red’ highlights on the exterior. Then we have the top-spec Model S, which now comes with a 2WD automatic with its existing 4WD automatic option. 

Jeep has also unveiled the Jeep Meridian Overland edition. In this edition, we have a new grille and alloy wheel design combined with a copped-based interior theme. 

2023 Jeep Compass – Specifications

The Jeep Compass is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine capable of producing 167bhp and 350Nm of torque. Transmission options include manual and automatic. Jeep had to discontinue the petrol engine due to the BS6 stage 2 norms. According to reports, Jeep is working on a new petrol engine for the Compass in India.
