The compact SUV segment is in for some exciting times ahead. Tata is ready with the Nexon facelift, and Kia is also working on the Sonet facelift. How will Mahindra remain behind? It has started testing the XUV300 facelift. Now we have new spy shots of the SUV revealing the new design and interiors. In today’s article, let’s talk about the new Mahindra XUV300.

New spy shots

The spy shots were sent to us by one of our readers, Sahil Khalkar. Here we can see a car with a pristine white camouflage. As we come close, we can quickly guess this is the XUV300. At the rear, there is a new tail lamp design with an inverted comma-like silhouette. The side profile looks more or less similar barring the new alloy wheels. At the front, we don’t see major changes as such. We can expect a new grille and slightly tweaked headlamps.

We get a peek into the interior, revealing a new floating infotainment system and new HVAC controls. Interiors have always been the Achilles’s heel of XUV300, and this seems to be a welcome change. Overall, the dashboard layout seems to have been completely updated. Only the steering wheel seems to have remained the same on this test mule.

What else to expect?

We could see Mahindra adding new features to the new Mahindra XUV300. We could see features like a digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting and a premium sound system. Specification-wise, the new XUV300 will continue with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol, 1.5-litre turbo GDi and 1.5-litre diesel engine.

The XUV300 is back in the news, with new spy shots coming every month. For a long time, Mahindra has kind of ignored the XUV300, and these new spy shots have given new hope to prospective customers. When can we expect the launch? Mahindra could launch the XUV300 facelift by the end of this year or early next year.
