2024 Renault Kiger – what to expect?
Punch is quite a unique product in the market. It competes with a variety of competitors from Fronx to Kiger. Recently Hyundai launched the Exter to take on the Punch. To counter that, Tata launched the Punch iCNG. Now another Punch rival could get an update. Which car are we talking about? It is the Renault Kiger. Renault recently confirmed that it will be soon updating the Kiger. In today’s article, let’s talk about 2024 Renault Kiger.
Design changes
Being a facelift, we can expect some changes on the exterior. Renault could change the grille or bumpers to give it a new look. Another easier strategy Renault could implement is to introduce new colours. Other changes could include new tail lamps and rear bumpers. 2024 Renault Kiger – Specifications
Being an update or facelift, we don’t expect Renault to tinker much with the specifications. It will continue with the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (71bhp/96Nm). This engine comes with a manual and AMT option. The second engine is the 1.0-litre turbo (98bhp/160Nm). This engine comes with a manual and CVT automatic.
New features
The Kiger is quite a well-loaded car for its price point. Still, if Renault is updating it could get new features like auto-dimming IRVM, an updated infotainment system, front parking sensors, 6-airbags, and automatic headlights. Could Renault give it a sunroof? That will require some heavy modifications, but let’s wait and watch.
2024 Renault Kiger – Launch timeline
Renault has confirmed that an update for Kiger is in the pipeline. However, it has not shared an exact timeline for the updated version. It has vaguely stated that it could be launched in the next three to four years. We expect Renault to launch the updated Kiger in the second half of 2024. Pricing-wise, we can expect a decent enough hike if we get the expected changes and features.
