The Hyundai Exter is available in 8 variant options – EX, EX(O), S, S(O), SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect. Pricing-wise, the EX variant starts from Rs 5.99 lakh. Other variants cost S – 7.26 lakh, SX – 7.99 lakh, SX(O) – 8.63 lakh and SX(O) Connect – Rs 9.31 lakh (ex-showroom). Pricing-wise, AMT starts from Rs 7.96 lakh, and CNG starts from Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom).

First, let’s talk about the dimensions, the Exter is 3,815mm in length, 1631mm in height, and 1,710mm in width. It sits on a wheelbase of 2,450mm and ground clearance is mm. Now talking about the design, The Hyundai Exter comes with a boxy design language at the front. At the front, we have an upright grille with H-shaped DRLs. Headlamps are placed adjacent to the grille. In the side profile, you have some arches giving it a muscular look. At the rear, you could again see H-shaped tail lamps with indicators placed below them.

The Hyundai comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 81bhp and 113.8Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-MT and an AMT gearbox. The manual gearbox gives a mileage of 19.4kmpl and AMT gives a mileage of 19.2kmpl (claimed figures). We also have a CNG option which produces 68bhp and 95.2Nm of torque. CNG is only available with a manual gearbox option. CNG delievers a mileage of 27.1 km/kg.

The Hyundai Exter comes with an interior layout pretty similar to the Grand i10 Nios. We have a funky-looking dashboard element with an 8.0-inch floating infotainment system. Other features include a digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls, an electric sunroof, paddle shifters, cruise control, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and a wireless phone charger. What about safety features? We have 6 airbags, TPMS, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, Hill start assist control, rear defogger, automatic headlamps, rearview camera, and Vehicle stability management.
