Tata has streamlined its focus towards SUVs. In the next few months, its entire SUV lineup is going to get a major revamp. Still, Tata knows that other segments are also important if it wants to continue its sales growth. So it will need to update cars like the Tiago and Tigor. Both these could get a new-generation update in the next few years. For today, we will be covering the Tigor. Want to know about the new Tiago click here. In today’s article, let’s talk about the new Tata sedan.

What’s new?

New Tata sedan platform

First up, the new Tigor could be based on the ALFA arc platform like the Altroz. With this, we can expect even better safety ratings and ride quality from the new-gen Tigor. Another new aspect could be a radically different design. Maybe we could see an eyebrow design on the Tigor or maybe we could see an aggressive design like the Altroz.

Other details

The new-generation model should continue with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine. In its current form, this engine is capable of producing 85bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options should be a manual and an AMT gearbox. Tata recently introduced the twin-cylinder option on the Tigor and that will continue on the new-generation model.
