The Tata Curvv is one highly anticipated car in the country. With its Coupe characteristics, Tata is betting big that it can dethrone the Koreans from the top in the C-SUV segment. But before the Koreans, Tata will need to be aware of any other competitor. Which car are we talking about? It is the upcoming Citroen C3X. In today’s article, let’s talk about this Tata Curvv rival.

Citroen is working on a sedan for the Indian market. This will not be a conventional sedan, but a fastback style with a tapering roofline. The car has been spotted testing once, you can check it out here. For context, Citroen sells the C3X in Europe, but the one coming to India is a different model. We can expect design bits to be similar to the international model. Length-wise it will be 4.3 metres and the wheelbase could be similar to the C3 Aircross.

Specifications

The C3X will be based on the CMP modular platform like other C3 derivatives. Engine-wise, Citroen has limited options on its smaller cars. The only ideal engine option will be the 1.2-litre turbo petrol that is capable of producing 108bhp and 190Nm of torque. Transmission options could include a manual and an automatic gearbox.

This year it will be launching the C3 Aircross, followed by the electric version of this car. Then in 2024, we can expect the C3X to come to India. The C3X will also come with an electric version later on.
