The Toyota Fortuner has annihilated all the competition in the full-size SUV segment. It sells 2k to 3k units per month when its rival can barely scrape to 200 to 300. Now there is a global SUV that could dominate the Fortuner. Can you guess the SUV? It is the Hyundai Palisade, which we got to see at the GIIAS. We were certainly impressed with this SUV, but can it take on the Fortuner? In today’s article, let’s talk about Hyundai Palisade India.

Dimensions & design

Dimension-wise, the Palisade is 4980mm in length, 1976mm in width & 1750mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2900mm and has a ground clearance of 200mm. As stated above, we got to see the car at GIIAS and it looks massive in the flesh. Coming to the design, the Palisade got a facelift in 2023. Some will say that the Palisade looks like a bigger version of the Venue facelift. At the side, you can see the big overhang and the sheer size of the Palisade. At the rear, we have C-shaped tail lamps and dual exhausts.

Other features include Level-2 ADAS, two sunroofs, Heated & ventilated front & rear seats, one-touch electric tumble in the second row, a 12-speaker Harman audio system, wireless connectivity, ventilated seats, ambient lighting and much more.

new Hyundai Palisade – Will it come to India?

new Toyota Fortuner rival

Now coming to the most important question, will it come to India? Hyundai evaluated the Palisade for India, but that plan never materialised. Also, it doesn’t look like we will see the palisade for the foreseeable future. However, Hyundai is slowly increasing its premium quotient with cars like the Tucson and IONIQ-5. So once the market matures, Hyundai could bring the new Palisade to India.
