Hyundai’s next big SUV unveiled!
Hyundai’s expansion in the SUV segment has been massive in the last few years. Last week only it unveiled the Exter to take on the micro-SUV segment. Globally too Hyundai is trying the same, but in the opposite direction. It has revealed the new-generation update of its Santa Fe. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Hyundai Santa Fe 2024.
Design
The design of the new Santa Fe is a major departure from the earlier design. Hyundai has given Santa Fe a boxy design. At the front, we have a H-shaped DRL design that extends into the grille. Hyundai has added a lot of cuts and creases. Coming to the side profile, we see the massive road presence of Santa Fe. The car almost looks like a van from this profile. At the rear, an upright tailgate with H-shaped tail lamps again made their presence felt.
Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 – Interior & features
In the interiors, Hyundai has tried to offer a clean look on the Santa Fe. It comes with Land Rover Defender-like three-spoke steering wheel. We have a large curved display housing the 12.3-inch instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment. Due to the light-coloured interiors, the car looks quite airy and welcoming from the inside. Hyundai has tried to make the car feel as premium as possible.
Specifications
Hyundai hasn’t revealed any technical specifications of the Santa Fe. However, it is expected to continue with the 2.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the current model. Hyundai could offer hybrid or plug-in-hybrid options depending upon the markets.
Hyundai Santa Fe 2024 – Will it come to India?
For now, Hyundai has only unveiled the Santa Fe with the official reveal scheduled to take place in August. The Santa Fe will first go on sale in the USA followed by other international markets. Can we expect it in India? Hyundai used to sell the third-generation Santa Fe in the country, but it didn’t launch the fourth-generation model. So we don’t expect Hyundai to launch this Santa Fe in India.
