2023 Toyota Fortuner just got more powerful
The Toyota Fortuner is quite a prominent nameplate in the country. It single-handedly rules the full-size SUV not letting competitors get anywhere near the sales it enjoys. As a product, the Fortuner is known for its reliability and powerful engines. Now Toyota is taking that one step ahead by increasing the power figures. It launched this Fortuner in Thailand. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2023 Toyota Fortuner.
Updated engine
Toyota has launched the updated Toyota Fortuner in Thailand. It comes with new features and tech that we will cover in the late half. The biggest change is the updated 2.8-litre diesel engine that is capable of producing 224bhp and 550Nm of torque. This is 20bhp and 50Nm more than the current specs we see on the Fortuner in India. For now, this engine is restricted to the GR Sport version.
What’s new?
The Leader variant of the Fortuner (base model here) comes with TPMS and a new Silver Sky Metallic colour option. The LTD variant or more commonly known as Legender gets a 9.0-inch infotainment with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay and Wireless charging.
New Toyota Fortuner 2023 – Will it come to India?
There is no confirmation from Toyota if it will be bringing these updates to India. Also, Toyota is working on the new-gen Fortuner. We have been covering the new-gen Fortuner in detail you check it out here. Coming back to this updated Fortuner, Toyota could bring it to India. However, we think the updates could be restricted to the GR Sport variants.
