The Toyota Fortuner is soon going to get a generational update. Toyota’s proactive approach with the Fortuner has surely made the full-size SUV a force to reckon with in this segment. We have been covering the new Fortuner for some time and bringing you all the details. Now a new render has popped up on what the Fortuner could look like. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Toyota Fortuner design.

New render

Toyota Fortuner design

SRK Designs has made a render of the new-gen Toyota Fortuner using spy shots. This render seems a natural evolution of the current Fortuner, something which Toyota could do on its full-size SUV. We have sharp-looking tail lamps and a sculpted bonnet. The grille is bigger but is divided into two parts – the first part is the normal one, and below that, we have a mesh pattern. Adjacent to them, we have fog lamps. Overall the design looks quite bold and muscular.

What else to expect?

The new-gen Fortuner could be based on the TNGA-F platform that also underpins the Land Cruiser. Specs-wise, the new-gen Fortuner could come with a 48v mild hybrid setup paired with its 2.8-litre diesel engine. This would make the new-gen Fortuner quite efficient compared to non-hybrid models. Feature-wise, we can expect ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, a bigger infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster etc.

Toyota Fortuner design – Launch timeline

The Fortuner is still in the early stages of development. Considering the rumours, Toyota is moving quite well with the production timeline. What about the launch? We expect Toyota to launch the new-gen Fortuner in South East Asia in the early half of 2024. India launch could happen by the end of 2024.
