Car design is quite a subjective topic, as everyone has a different perspective. Some may like a certain design, while others may hate it. Still, some car designs are universally hated. 5. Scion Hako Coupe Concept
The Scion Hako Coupe Concept was revealed at the 2008 New York Auto Show. The manufacturer had tried to give the Hako Coupe a retro-style look to attract a young crowd. However, the design surely looked weird like the brand has just taken a box and sculpted a design around it. The Hako Coupe concept never went into production, and Scion as a brand was absorbed back into Toyota in 2016.
4. Chevrolet SSR
The Chevrolet SSR was a retro-styled retractable hardtop convertible pickup truck manufactured by Chevrolet between 2003 and 2006. It had a weird curvy design seeming like a car from the 80s launched in the 2000s. The SSR had a decent run in the market with 24,1550 sold in the three years of its production.

The Multipla looks like the foundation was of a different car, while the upper half is of a different car. You can see this as a glorified version of dual-tone roofs. Not only us, but several global publications like Telegraph and Sunday Times have named the Mulitpla one of the ugliest cars of all time. The Multipla for its part was a spacious car inside with a 6-seater layout.
2. Citroen Karin
The 80s was a time when people thought we would have flying cars by the 2010s. The Karin was built on similar lines looking like a car from the future. It had a pyramid-like design that tapered into a size similar to an A3 sheet of paper. Other unique things include the unconventional three-seat layout with the driver located in the middle of the two passengers. The Karin never went into production for obvious reasons.
Ugliest cars – 1. Honda Fuya-Jo concept
Honda took a long shot by revealing the Fuya-Jo concept – the vehicle name translates to “Sleepless Nights”. It was designed to allow occupants to stand and dance their way to the venue. The interior had a distinct dance club theme and this was the reason why the car had such a long floor. Like other such concept cars, it never made it to production.
