How quickly is the year going by? 2023 is flying past us, and we have a monthly sales report for yet another month. The month of June has seen a little de-growth compared to May, but still, sales are constant. In this story, we list cars that heavily contributed to sales last month. Here is the list of top selling cars in June 2023.
Maruti WagonR
The Maruti WagonR has once again asserted its dominance at the top. In June 2023, Maruti sold 17,481 units of the WagonR. In comparison, Maruti had sold 16,258 units. So why is the WagonR so popular? It is loved for its tall-boy design, offering great space for tall passengers. Other than that, it also has the Maruti reliability and service network.
Maruti Swift
The second car on the list is the Maruti Swift. The Swift sits in the perfect place between entry-level and premium hatchback territory. In June, Maruti sold 15,955 units of the Swift. In comparison, Maruti sold 17,346 units of the Swift in May 2023.
Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta breaks Maruti’s monopoly at the top. In the last few months, Creta is constantly raking in good sales, keeping it at the top. The Creta is so popular in the country due to its features and the various drive/transmission option it offers. In June, Hyundai sold 14,447 units of the Creta. In comparison, Hyundai sold 14,449 units of the Brezza in May 2023.
Top cars June 2023 – Maruti Baleno
Maruti’s premium hatchback has been doing well since its facelift was launched last year. In the facelift, Maruti added several new features and improved the metal of the Baleno. In June 2023, Maruti sold 14,077 units of the Baleno. A major decrease from the 18,733 units it sold in May 2023.
Tata Nexon
Tata is enjoying its best sales momentum, and Nexon has been a major contributor to its growth. It has been the best-selling SUV in the country for some time and even now rarely falls below the top-3 positions. Talking about the Nexon, it is packed with features and comes with a variety of engine and transmission options. In June, Tata sold 13,827 units of the Nexon, seeing a minor drop from the 14,423 units sold in May.
Hyundai Venue
Following the Creta is its smaller sibling, the Hyundai Venue. Since its facelifted version was launched in 2022, the Venue has been doing well for itself. Like the Creta, the Venue is known for its features and transmission option. Hyundai sold 11,606 units of the Venue in June 2023. In comparison, Hyundai sold 10,213 units of the Venue in May 2023.
Top cars June 2023 – Maruti Alto
India’s one of the best-selling cars of all time also makes its way onto this list. With the K10 update, Alto has slipped a bit in this list. Overall the Alto is popular for its compact dimensions and reliability. Maruti sold 11,323 units in June 2023. A decent increase from the 9,368 units of the Alto sold in May 2023.
Tata Punch
The Punch is playing the perfect role for Tata, bringing in good sales. With SUVs in demand, Tata played it right by launching the Punch. The Punch, with its nifty features and its SUV, feels at an affordable price and is doing good. Tata sold 10,990 units of the Punch in June 2023. In comparison, Tata sold 11,124 units in May 2023.
Maruti Vitara Brezza
Maruti’s plan to focus on its SUVs is paying rich dividends to the brand. Though the Brezza has fallen a bit in sales, it is still raking in 10,578 units in June 2023. In comparison, Maruti sold 13,398 units in May 2023. The Brezza is doing so well due to Maruti’s high reliability and the features it offers.
Top cars June 2023 – Maruti Grand Vitara
Another Maruti SUV on this list is the Grand Vitara. The Grand Vitara is slowly and steadily establishing itself in the Indian market. It is a long way from challenging Creta, but it is doing well enough for Maruti. The strong hybrid setup and AWD are surely giving the Grand Vitara a unique advantage over the competition. Maruti sold 10,486 units of the Grand Vitara in June 2023. A substantial rise from the 8,877 units sold in May 2023.
