Tata Nexon facelift spotted again! More details!
The last few years have been mega for Tata Motors. Such has been its growth that it is challenging Hyundai for the number 2 spot in the Indian market. The Nexon has been the major contributor to this growth. It has been the top-selling SUV for quite some time, occasionally losing the crown to the Brezza. So Tata is working on the facelifted model of the Nexon to bring it back to the top. Now new spy shots of the Nexon facelift have surfaced online. In today’s article, let’s talk about the new Nexon facelift 2023.
New spy shots
The spy shots were sent to us by Anjish, a fellow subscriber. We can see the Nexon facelift from various angles. At the front, we can see the Curvv-inspired front design with an upright grille. Also, we can see sleek headlamp design and probably a bonnet-wide DRL design. As we come to the side profile, we don’t see any major changes barring the redesigned C-pillar and extended spoiler. What about the rear? The rear comes with sharp tail lamps.
New Nexon facelift 2023 – What else do we know?
Though we didn’t spot the interior this time, we know that the Nexon facelift is going to get major upgrades. It is almost certain to get a two-spoke steering wheel with a black element in the middle. Other features include a 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters, 10-inch infotainment system etc.
Specifications
Even though it’s a facelift, Tata could change the specifications of the Nexon. Tata could give it a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine it showcased at the Auto Expo. This engine is capable of producing 123bhp and 225Nm of torque. Transmission options include a manual and a new DCA gearbox. The diesel engine option will continue the same on the Nexon facelift.
New Nexon facelift 2023 – Launch timeline
Tata has been quite silent about the launch timeline of the Nexon facelift. But according to rumours, Tata plans to launch the Nexon facelift by August 2023. This rumour does make sense considering the frequency of spy shots in the last few months. In terms of price hikes,we can expect a major hike due to the changes and new features.
