Tata Motors continue to enjoy a good enough lead in the EV sector in India. But Tata knows how quickly the tide can change in the Indian market. It is working on a sleeve of EVs for the Indian market including the Harrier EV and Curvv EV. But before them, Tata could launch something even more popular. Can you guess what are we talking about? It’s the Punch EV, which has been spotted for the first time. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Tata Punch EV 2023.

The photos were posted by maxabout.india on their Instagram. In this, we can spot the camouflaged Punch on the flatbed. So how do we know it’s an EV? We get a sneak peek into the interiors and straight away we can see the blue highlights on the AC vents. Below it, we have a rotary gearbox and an electric parking brake. Could this be the Tata Punch EV Max variant? Only time will tell. Other than that, we can see what seems to be leatherette seats, an armrest and blue highlights on alloy wheels.

The Punch EV will most likely continue with the Alfa-Arc platform. In terms of design, we don’t expect any radical changes, just some blue highlights and EV badging. We could also see the signature teal-blue colour on the Punch EV. With features like an electric parking brake spotted, Tata seems to be loading the Punch EV with features. We can also expect wireless charging and an air purifier on the Punch EV.

Expected specifications

Like other Tata EVs, the Punch EV could come with the brand’s Ziptron technology. The Punch EV could share its specifications with the Tigor EV. So we can expect a 73bhp motor paired with a 26kWh battery pack. What could be the real-world range? The battery pack is expected to give it a real-world range of around 200km to 250km.
