2024 Tata Safari to get 10 big changes and features
Tata Safari recently got a major update in the form of the Red Dark editions. But still, Safari didn’t get any design changes. Design changes will be in the facelifted model that Tata has started testing. But what else will be new on the facelift? In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2024 Tata Safari facelift.
Powered tailgate
A powered tailgate may seem like a gimmick, but it does seem to have some advantages in real-world usage. Currently, in this segment, Hector has a powered tailgate. So we expect Tata to go level with Hector by offering a powered tailgate.
Full LED headlamps
It’s quite appealing that Safari doesn’t come with LED headlamps. Tata will be looking to rectify that by offering LED headlamps in the facelift. Also while at it Tata might also give it LED fog lamps. Another thing Tata could offer is sequential turn indicators on the Safari facelift.
12-inch infotainment
Tata updated the infotainment system on the Safari to a 10-inch unit. But there were rumours that Tata is also working on a 12-inch unit. We think this 12-inch screen could debut on the Safari facelift. This system would be quite apt for a car the size of the Safari.
Heads-up display
Heads-up display was once reserved for luxury cars, but now has trickled down to affordable options. Maruti has kind of standardised it on all its cars now. It does have benefits as you get data in a simplified form in the driver eyeline. Tata could offer a heads-up display on the Safari facelift.
2024 Tata Safari – ADAS with assists
Tata introduced ADAS on the Safari facelift with the Red Dark edition. But most of these assists are just reminders. So in the facelift, Tata could change to give the Safari facelift proper avoidance technology that can steer the car and also keep the car in the lane. It will add an extra layer of safety to the facelift.
Dual-zone climate control
The Safari currently misses out on dual-zone climate control. It is a nifty feature that lets you set different temperatures for the driver and the co-passenger. Several cars in this price range come with dual-zone climate control, and Tata should also offer it in the Safari.
2024 Tata Safari – 12-speaker Harman system
The music system on Safari is one of the best segments. But now Tata could better it by offering a 12-speaker system. It could be a 3D surround sound system like what Mahindra offers on the XUV700. The 12-speaker Harman system with the bigger touchscreen could be a treat for audiophiles.
2nd-row wireless charging
Currently, Safari offers the most features for second-row passengers. It comes with ventilated second-row seats, which is a segment-exclusive feature. Now Tata could take that one step ahead by offering 2nd-row wireless charging. Tata will have to make some space somewhere to adjust the pad, but Tata can surely do that.
Petrol engine
The Safari facelift could finally get another engine option. Tata Motors showcased its new 1.5-litre petrol engine at the Auto Expo. This engine is capable of producing 167bhp and 280Nm of torque. Transmission options could include a manual and an automatic gearbox. Now chances of seeing this engine on the Safari are a bit bleak, but we never know, and Tata might offer it on the Safari.
2024 Tata Safari – All type C ports
Things in the tech world and automotive are generally quite connected. As you can see now most smartphones are coming with type C chargers to type C ports. So car manufacturers have had to also adapt by giving type C charging ports in their cars. Tata will have to also do the same by giving all type C ports in the Safari facelift.
