At the Auto Expo’23, we saw the Red Dark edition of Harrier and Safari which took the breath away of many Tata fanboys. The updated colour scheme on these special editions made these cars look mean and imposing at the same time. The Red Dark edition which was not limited to just cosmetic updates but also added plenty of modern-day features. Now, that very updated car is brought to us by the brand. Yes, Tata has opened the bookings of the updated cars which now have a plenty of stuff to offer. Which features do the New Harrier and Safari get? Lets find out.
New Harrier and Safari – Features
The updates which we saw at the Expo’23 have now become official and are expected to be launched soon in the new Harrier and Safari. Apart from the exterior additions like the red brake callipers, the major change lies in the interiors. The Red Dark is supposed to get bright red leather seats alongwith an all-new 10.25-inch infotainment system with new features. The new infotainment unit which was long overdue has now got AQi, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera view, smartphone connectivity and also voice commands supporting 6 Indian languages. Moreover, the flagship Safari gets an upper hand here with additions like 6 way powered driver seat, ambient lighting, electric boss mode and more.
New Harrier and Safari – More Safety Features
Tata has updated the safety quotient on the Harrier and Safari. Both these cars will get ADAS safety tech with functions like rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, lane change alert and many more. Apart from this, the cars continue to get ESP with 17 functionalities, 6 Airbags, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, Auto Hold, etc.

The official website of Tata Motors has unveiled all the features of the updated models. This could only insinuate that Tata is soon likely to launch the cars in the market. Moreover, the regular variants are also expected to get the updated features. So, all these additions could be carried forward on the regular models but we can expect some alterations for some exclusivity for the Red Dark. Now, with all the additional tech features and safety, Tata has significantly enhanced the buying appeal of these cars. What about pricing? We can expect it to priced on the higher side compared to the current model. As there are additional features and tech imbibed in the cars, the prices would go up.
