Why?
The Grand Carnival revealed in India is the fourth generation model. Kia did showcase the car at the Expo, but it is mostly not coming to India. According to our sources, Kia doesn’t want to launch the Grand Carnival in India. For that reason, Kia is calling it the KA4 and not the Grand Carnival. Kia thinks bringing the Grand Carnival to India is not worth the investment.
The Grand Carnival
Still, Kia might have a change of mind and could launch the Grand Carnival in India. So if we are talking about the Grand Carnival it comes with premium interiors, ventilated seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, 19-inch alloy wheels, ADAS, power seats etc. Powering this MPV will be the 2.2-litre diesel engine capable of producing 198bhp and 440Nm of torque. This engine will come paired with an eight-speed automatic.
Kia’s future plan
So what else could Kia bring this year? Kia has plans to launch the Seltos facelift this year. The new Seltos will come with a new exterior and interior design. It will also get several added features like a digital instrument cluster and ADAS. Other than the Seltos facelift, we could see Kia bringing CNG models of the Carens and Sonet.
