The Jimny has possibly become the most anticipated launch of 2023. The car keeps on getting spotted numerous times and recently it has also been seen without any camouflage. India is set to get the 5-door version of the car resulting in a bench row setup for rear passengers. The interior layout is expected to be the same as the 3-door model with features like a touchscreen infotainment system, all power windows, climate control, steering-mounted audio controls and more. Powering the Jimny is touted to be the 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine making 103bhp and 138Nm of torque. There are also talks about the ‘AllGripPro’ 4×4 setup which would make its way into the car. Maruti is set to showcase the car at Auto Expo 2023.


Maruti Baleno Cross

The beefed-up version of the premium hatchback is on its way for 2023. This car, essentially being the crossover version of the Baleno would be inclined towards SUV characteristics. It is likely to share its front styling with the Grand Vitara with the split headlamp setup, roofrails, body cladding and higher ground clearance. The interior features could stay in line with the Baleno with features like a 360-degree camera, Heads Up Display, premium sound system and more. Moreover, Maruti could give this one an upper hand by adding wireless charging, a sunroof, and more extra features.

The South Korean automaker which stands for the premium factor in its cars is updating the Grand i10 Nios. The facelift model has been spotted testing on Indian roads covered in camouflage. This car which rivals the Maruti Swift, Tata Tiago, etc. is soon to receive a facelift update with cosmetic changes. For starters, we are expecting a new set of bumpers housing the signature LED DRLs of the car. The interiors are also expected to get spruced up with more features. The chances of it receiving any powertrain changes are highly less as it’s a facelift update. However, diesel option will be missed due to the upcoming CAFE-II norms.

Maruti Ignis facelift

Maruti has a slew of hatchbacks under the Rs 10 lakh category and the Ignis is one of them. Launched as the urban compact SUV in 2017, it came with unique eyebrow-styled DRLs, and SUV characteristics like tall design, roof rails, front bumper cladding and more. However, the times have changed and Ignis is outshined by its homegrown competitor (Tata Punch). It is high time that it could get a facelift in the upcoming year which could bring in more features, an updated powertrain setup and new styling.

The Air EV, which is set to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023. The expected price range of this 3-door EV is likely to be around Rs 10 lakh creating its own niche segment. This car which sits on a length of 2900mm, would be the smallest EV for sale in India. If we talk about its range, this car is expected to get a range of 300kms making it the perfect city car.
