MG Innova HyCross rival coming soon?
MG had quite an ambitious entry into the Indian market. It launched Hector in one of the most competitive segments in the country. That gamble has worked out quite well for the brand and now MG could look to target another segment leader. Yes, we are talking about the newly launched Innova HyCross. MG could bring a car from its global lineup. Which is this car? It is the MG10. In today’s article, let’s talk about the MG Innova HyCross rival.
Design
The G10 comes with a pretty ordinary design. Overall the car gets a tallboy design giving it a more van-like view. At the front, we have a massive chrome grille with the MG logo. The side profile looks quite identical to the Toyota Vellfire. In the interiors, we have a clean dashboard layout with a mounted infotainment system.
MG Innova HyCross rival – Specifications
The MG G10 is a big car, it is 5168mm in length, 1980mm in width and 1928mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 3198. What about the specifications? The G10 could come with MG’s 2.0-litre diesel engine that powers the Gloster. MG could retune the engine to produce less power in the G10.
Features
MG cars are known for their features, and the G10 will be no different. The Indian-spec G10 could come with a 10-inch or 12-inch infotainment system, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, an electric sliding door, and iSmart connected car technology. Safety features could include 4-disc brakes, six airbags, and front parking sensors. MG could also give it ADAS functionality considering all its cars in India come with it.
MG Innova HyCross rival – Launch & Pricing
There is no official confirmation from MG regarding the G10 in India. However, with the unveiling of Innova HyCross, the premium MPV segment is picking up pace. If MG can undercut the Innova HyCross and Kia Carnival it will attract some buyers. We expect MG to bring this MPV in the price range of Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh in India (ex-showroom).
