Citroen kickstarted its India operations with the C5 Aircross. Then came the C3 hatchback catering to the needs of the mass market buyers. Design
This new Citroen MPV is spotted testing on Indian soils. Due to its camouflage appearance, wee details are available about its design. From the prevailing look, it is likely to have a bold appearance with wide fenders, a split headlamp setup, and other design elements familiar to the C3. This car also shares the C3’s CMP platform which further increases their resemblance.
Upcoming Citroen MPV – Features
The feature list is likely to be attractive as it has become a major USP. We can expect auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charging, reverse parking camera, rear charging ports, and more storage places to increase the practicality of this MPV.
Powertrain
This Citroen MPV could get the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine seen in the C3. This is the only powertrain that makes sense as the other 1.2-litre naturally aspirated unit would not provide ample performance. Talking about the 1.2 turbo-petrol, it makes 109bhp & 190Nm of torque. However, it is only available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Reports have hinted that Citroen is working on a 6-speed automatic torque converter as well. This unit could also make its way to the bigger car.
Upcoming Citroen MPV – Launch & Pricing
As Citroen plans to bring the C3 EV before this MPV, the launch timeline of this could be slated around the end of 2023. Talking about the pricing, it could start from somewhere around Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
