India is currently witnessing an electric boom. Now, this growth is expected to speed up with the newly launched Tiago EV. Currently, the Tiago EV is the most affordable EV in our market. Citroen is looking to challenge the Tiago with the C3 EV. Let’s talk about everything we know about the C3 EV in one minute.
What do we know?
Earlier this year, the CEO of Citroen confirmed the brand’s plan to enter the EV segment next year. This EV will be the electrified version of the C3. This C3 EV has also been spotted testing with a charging plug at the front. Overall the car looks quite identical to the ICE-C3.
Citroen C3 EV- Motor and range
We don’t have any strong highlights about its motor and range. However, Citroen will have to give it at least a 30+kWh battery pack to take on the Tiago EV. In terms of range, we expect it to offer a claimed range of 300km keeping it on par with the Tiago EV.
Features
The overall interiors of the C3 EV could be very similar to the C3. However, Citroen might give the C3 EV more features to increase its VFM quotient. So we can expect an all-digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch infotainment system, automatic climate control, etc.
Citroen C3 EV- Launch details
Citroen is expected to launch the C3 EV in 2023. However, according to rumours, Citroen will be unveiling the car by the end of this year. What about the pricing? This C3 EV will be heavily localised to keep the costs in check. Citroen will have to price it very competitively against the Tiago EV to stand a chance against Tata.
