Tata is expanding at a rapid pace in the Indian market. Last week, it wrapped up the launch of the Tiago EV. The Tiago EV is not only the most affordable EV in the market but also gets several new features. Some of its features are not even offered in the Tigor EV, which is the sedan sibling of the Tiago. So, has Tata completely neglected the Tigor EV? No. The Tigor EV will be getting some of these additional features. In today’s article, let’s talk about new features that the Tata Tigor EV will get.

What are the new features?

Tigor EV new features

The Tiago EV comes with multi-mode regeneration and cruise control. Both these features are not offered on the Tigor EV. But apparently, Tata will be updating the Tigor EV soon. In this update, Tata could give the Tigor EV leatherette upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.

What about existing customers?

Some of the elements of the Tiago EV are expected to be offered to existing Tigor EV owners as well. So how will Tata do it? Tata will be enabling multi-mode regen and cruise control through software updates. Tata has done this before with the Nexon EV Prime when the Nexon EV Max was launched. The additional buttons will be added at the service centre. According to Tata, these software updates will be free of cost, but the hardware could be chargeable.
