Toyota is well-known for its high reliability factor and easy-to-maintain vehicles. Toyota operates on a global level. This new car is based on the GA-B platform. The test car was spied testing on Indian roads without any camouflage. Talking about the design in front, it gets sleek-looking headlamps with the DRLs placed above them. It also gets a small grille with fog lamps placed at the bottom. Moving to the sides, the Yaris hatch looks quite sporty with its curvy bits. At the rear, it gets L-shaped tail lamps integrated onto the boot door. Overall the hatchback looks quite sporty in its small dimensions.

The European markets get 3 petrol engine options in the Yaris Hatchback. A 1.0-litre, 1.5-litre, and 1.5-litre hybrid. What about the gearbox? Transmission options include a 6 Speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox. It also comes with a sporty GR Yaris trim package that is more focused on performance. However, there is no official word out regarding which powertrain could the Indian spec model get.

In the feature-dominated car era, Toyota has packed in a lot of features. The car gets a 10-inch infotainment system, sunroof, wireless charging, pushbutton start, high-end music system, and more. Toyota was spied testing the 4th generation model, also it was not in camouflage. This may indicate that Toyota might be testing some new assessment or feature for the market, rather than the whole car itself.

Launch & Pricing

Toyota has not revealed any concrete information regarding the launch of the car. However, the spottings of the car are hinting direction toward a launch. If this hatchback is launched, it could go against the Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno, and Tata Altroz. What about the pricing? Pricing could start from around Rs 7 lakh. (ex-showroom, prices)
