Kia India has been enjoying massive success. Being a new manufacturer, it is competing with some of the heavyweights of the Indian market. The main reason for Kia’s success has been its SUV lineup. Cars like the Seltos and Sonet have done exceptionally well for the brand. Of late, Kia is also launching a special variant of its cars like Tata. We saw the Seltos anniversary edition and the X-Line. The Sonet also saw the anniversary edition and now Kia has started teasing its X-Line. What will the Sonet X-Line get? Kia Sonet X-Line

Recently, Kia posted the first teaser of the Sonet X Line. What did the teaser reveal? The teaser confirmed the new matter graphite paint and matching inserts on the grille. At the side, Sonet X-Line could get orange highlights. Kia could also give the Sonet X Line 17-inch wheels like it did on the Seltos X-Line. At the rear, Sonet X Line is expected to get a blacked-out garnish and X-Line logo on the tailgate. What about the interiors? The Sonet X Line could get ‘Indigo Pera’ leatherette seats and grey stitching like the Seltos X Line. The rest of the equipment list is expected to remain the same as the normal variants.

Mechanically, the Sonet X-Line is expected to remain the same. Being the top-of-line variant, it could only come with automatic gearbox options. The petrol engine will be the 1.0-litre turbo petrol capable of producing 118bhp & 172Nm of torque paired to a DCT gearbox. While the diesel will be a 1.5-litre diesel producing 113bhp & 250Nm of torque paired to a torque converter gearbox.

As mentioned above, Kia has already started teasing the Sonet X-Line on its social handles. Considering all this, we can expect a launch in the upcoming weeks. What about its pricing? The Sonet X-Line will become the new top variant of the Sonet, above the GTX Plus variant. So we expect a price hike of Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000 over the regular, similarly-matched variants. The Sonet X-Line will rival the upcoming Venue N Line, Tata Nexon Kaziranga edition and other compact SUVs.
