Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder

The Urban Cruiser HyRyder is Toyota’s answer to the popular Hyundai Creta. Toyota unveiled this SUV in July. The brand is taking on the competition in this segment with mild and strong hybrid setups. The HyRyder comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a strong hybrid setup. This combination is capable of producing 114bhp & 122Nm of torque. The HyRyder also comes with an AWD setup, but for that, buyers would have to opt for the mild hybrid setup.

Maruti Grand Vitara

Following the Urban Cruiser HyRydyer is its sister car, the Maruti Grand Vitara. Last month, Maruti unveiled this SUV. The Grand Vitara gets a different design than the HyRyder, but mechanically both are the same. This one also comes with a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with a strong hybrid setup making 113bhp & 122Nm of torque. Maruti claims a mileage of 27.97kmpl with this hybrid setup. What about the launch? Maruti is expected to launch the Grand Vitara sometime in September.
