2 Rs 12 lakh electric SUVs coming soon!

The move towards EVs is slowly gaining momentum in India. But as with any technology, the EV technology is still quite expensive. Thankfully, manufacturers are working on affordable options for the market. We could be seeing not one, but two Rs 12 lakh electric SUVs in the coming time. What are these two electric SUVs? Tata Punch EV

Tata already has a huge lead in the EV segment. But it is looking to extend its advantage even further. Tata has made a habit of giving EV powertrains to its ICE cars. So when will we see the Punch EV? Currently, Tata is working on the Altroz EV, but after that, we can expect the Punch EV. How will the Punch EV be different? It is expected to get some subtle blue highlights on the bumpers. In the interiors, we can expect the same changes. Guessing the range and battery figures is hard, but we can expect similar specifications as the Tigor EV.

Rs 12 lakh electric SUV – Citroen EV

Citroen is still finding its feet in the Indian market. Currently, it is working on launching the C3. So what is Citroen’s plan after the C3? According to the CEO of Stellantis, the parent company of Citroen, its next product for India will be an affordable EV. This EV will be coming as early as next year. We expect this EV to be the electric version of the C3 as it will save the brand a lot of time & resources then making a completely new car. Citroen will look to make it affordable by doing heavy localisation. Only the batteries will be imported, but Citroen will look to even source them locally if possible in the future.
