The new Scorpio-N launch is almost here. We have been hearing about the coming of the new Scorpio for almost two years. Finally, after a long wait, Mahindra has finally decided to launch the Scorpio-N on 27th June. What about the current Scorpio? Mahindra will continue to sell the current one as Scorpio Classic. Coming back to the Scorpio-N, it packs in a lot of things. So what are the 5 reasons why you should wait for the Scorpio-N? In today’s article, we tell you why.
Size
In its first teaser, the brand made it clear that the Scorpio-N will take on D-segment cars. So what are the D-segment options? The D-segment consists of cars like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, etc. Can Scorpio take on such big SUVs? From the leaked dimensions, it certainly can. It is 4,662mm in length, 1,917mm in width & 1,870mm in height. Comparing it with the Fortuner, it triumphs in all departments (width, height, wheelbase) barring the length.
Premiumness
The Scorpio has always been known for its ruggedness. However, Mahindra, along with making the new one rugged is making it more premium. From the teased interior, we can see brown leather upholstery on the dashboard as well as the seats which is greatly enhancing this SUV’s premium quotient.
Scorpio-N reasons to wait – Performance
Scorpio has always been a car that is known for its spirited performance. It will be no different in the Scorpio-N as it will sport 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine. What about its off-roading capabilities? The Scorpio-N will come with 4×4 capabilities. This will make it quite a competent 6/7-seater off-roader.
Space
As mentioned above, the dimensions of Scorpio-N are big even when compared to cars like the Fortuner. These big dimensions will directly translate into more space in the interior. So will the Scorpio be a comfortable 7-seater? Hopefully, considering the extra length, it should lead to more space in the third row.
Scorpio-N reason to wait – Features
Features have never been the main focal point for Scorpio buyers. But Mahindra is nevertheless loading the new Scorpio with a lot of features. So it will come with AdrenoX, wireless connectivity, wireless charging, 360-degree camera, Sony sound system and leather upholstery. What about safety? The Scorpio will also get several safety features like 6 or 7 airbags, traction control, ABS+EBD and Auto Booster headlamps.
