The Mahindra Scorpio, or rather the Scorpio-N, has been hogging all the headlines of late. Already a lot of information is out about the Scorpio-N. We already know the exterior design and some of the features. But now, the brochure of the Mahindra Scorpio-N has been leaked online. So, what new information does the brochure reveal? In today’s article, let’s find out.

Leaked dimensions

As mentioned above, Mahindra has already revealed the exterior design. The Scorpio-N looked big in the images, but we didn’t have the exact dimensions. So how big is the Scorpio-N? The Scorpio-N is 4,662mm in length, 1,917mm in width & 1,870mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2750mm. These dimensions make it bigger than the Tata Safari and the XUV700. Comparing it to the Fortuner, the Scorpio-N just falls short when it comes to the length. In other departments (width, height, wheelbase), it is bigger than the Fortuner as well. Looks like Mahindra is seriously planning to take on the D-segment.

Interior

The brochure explains the interior and features. So what are the updated features? We see a dual-tone dashboard with large infotainment with the AdreonX system. Other than this, we have a semi-digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof and connected car technology. The Scorpio-N also gets a multi-function steering wheel like the XUV700. What about ADAS? The Scorpio-N will miss out on ADAS functionality. The new Scorpio-N will come with six and seven-seater seating options.

This engine will come in two tunes- 130bhp for the lower variants & 185bhp for the higher trims. What about the petrol options? It will get the same 2.0-litre engine as the XUV700. Both these engines will come with manual and automatic gearbox options. The diesel engine will also get a 4×4 system optional.

Pricing & Launch

As far as pricing is concerned, we expect the Scorpio-N to start from somewhere around Rs 14.5 lakh to 15.5 lakh (on-road) and go upto Rs 25 lakh (on-road). However, Mahindra being Mahindra, they could go even more aggressive with the car and only time will tell how the brand plans to target the market. Mahindra is set to launch the Scorpio-N on 27th June.
