Tata Motors is on a roll in the EV space. Its strategy of converting its ICE-powered cars into EVs has paid great dividends for the brand. The Nexon EV has cemented its position as the best-selling EV in India. But, Tata does not plan to stop here. The brand is planning to completely dominate the EV segment. So what’s next from Tata Motors? Tata has planned to launch multiple electric models in the coming future. In today’s article, we will talk about five of the many upcoming Tata electric cars. Let’s begin.

Altroz EV

Tata EV

The Altroz EV will mostly be Tata’s next electric car to hit the Indian market. It will be similar to the regular Altroz with some minor tweaks. Like other Tata EVs, it will get the brand’s Ziptron technology. What about the power figures? It is expected to get a 100bhp motor. Real-world range figures are expected to be in the range of 200km to 300km on a single charge. When will Tata launch it? We expect it to launch by the end of this year or sometime next year.

Punch EV

Tata EV

The Punch is another car that is expected to come in an EV avatar. Like the Altroz EV, the Punch EV will also come based on the ALFA-ARC platform. What else do we know about the Punch EV? The information about it is quite scarce, but we expect it sometime next year since the brand has already launched the Nexon EV Max this year and is expected to bring the Altroz EV as well sometime this year.

Tata Curvv-based EV

Tata EV

In April, Tata revealed two new EV concepts with one of them being the Curvv concept. The Curvv concept is technically Tata’s Creta-rivalling product. Will the production version be similar to the concept? We expect it to be different, however Tata will look to retain as many elements as possible for the final production car. The Curvv will come based on Tata’s Gen-2 architecture. Tata has already confirmed that they will first launch the EV avatar and then the ICE counterpart. It is expected to be launched by 2024.

Avinya-based EV

Tata EV

The Avinya was Tata’s second concept unveiled in April 2022. How is Avinya different from Curvv? One of the most obvious differences is that Avinya would be bigger. The Avinya will be built on a proper ground-up EV platform and is set to come based on the brand’s Gen-3 Architecture. Tata plans to offer the Avinya with a range of over 500km. Avinya concept is expected to hit the streets after the launch of the Curvv-based EV. 2025 can be counted as a comfortable timeline for the launch of this car.

Tata Sierra EV

Tata EV

The Sierra is an iconic Tata nameplate that is expected to make a comeback. So will it be an EV? Tata had displayed a prototype of the Sierra at the Auto Expo 2020. The prototype did come with a lot of futuristic elements. Tata is expected to market the Sierra EV as a luxury off-roader with a lot of comfort features. What could be the launch timeline you ask? As of now, the brand already has the above EVs in pipeline. So, the Sierra EV is expected to make its way to the market after them, which means that we could see it launch sometime by the end of 2025 or sometime in 2026.
