Kia’s new product, the Carens, has taken the market by storm. Carens has quickly taken on established players like the Ertiga and XL6. Mahindra already has the Marrazo in this segment but has not been that successful with it. So, Mahindra is planning to launch another car to take on the Carens; the Bolero Neo Plus. In today’s article, we will discuss this Mahindra Carens competition that will be better than the Marazzo.

The front design of the Bolero Neo Plus will be the same as the Bolero Neo. It will also get Mahindra’s new logo with a slightly tweaked grille. The Bolero Neo Plus will continue to carry the boxy look of the Bolero. Due to the extended row, it will get a good road presence.

The Bolero Neo Plus is expected to retain the dimensions of the TUV300 Plus. So it will be 4,400mm in length, 1,835mm in width and 1,812mm in height with a wheelbase of 2680mm and ground clearance of 184mm. Due to the extended dimensions, it will be quite spacious. In the last row, it will get jumper seats that can accommodate four passengers.

The Bolero Neo Plus is expected to come with a 2.2-litre diesel engine like the TUV300 Plus. This engine could produce 120bhp & 320Nm of torque mated to a manual gearbox. We expect Mahindra to offer MTT (multi-terrain technology) that is offered in the top variant of the Bolero Neo.

The Bolero Neo Plus will get the same interior and features as the Bolero Neo. So it will get features like a 7.0-inch touchscreen, keyless entry, manual AC, power steering, steering mounted audio controls, connected car tech, etc.

We expect the Bolero Neo Plus to come with the same variant lineup as the Bolero Neo. The Bolero Neo Plus could be Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000, more expensive than the Bolero Neo. So it will start from Rs 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra is expected to launch the Bolero Neo Plus by the end of this year.
