2022 Mahindra Scorpio spotted with Endeavour – looks BIG
The Mahindra Scorpio has been spotted testing multiple times on the highway, in the mountains, on offroad terrain and we got a glimpse of it being shot for a TVC in some earlier spyshots. The car has been a much awaited SUV from Mahindra. We are all excited about how this car will be bigger and much better than the outgoing Scorpio which is already a big SUV, loved by many. The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio has now been spotted along with a Ford Endeavour being tested on the Mumbai – Pune Expressway. Let’s take a closer look at this recent spotting below.
What have we seen?
When it comes to the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio, since the last two years we have spotted this car multiple times, each time finding something new about it. The cars interiors, tyre sizes, sunroof possibilities and a lot more has been discussed by us whenever the car has been spotted. This time let’s discuss something that’s not a new feature but will make the car feel brand new and better – it’s SIZE. The car in these pictures here is standing next to the Ford Endeavour. This car was part of the testing fleet of Scorpios in these pictures.
Mahindra could be benchmarking and tuning some aspects of the Scorpio to the Endeavour which is also a ladder on frame 4×4 SUV! Since the Scoprio will become bigger and more premium – using the Endeavour as a benchmark is a valid choice. From what we can see, the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio definitely looks taller and wider than the Endeavour. When it comes to length – we will have to wait and see. The new Scorpio will have better ground clearance, and wheelbase than the outgoing Scorpio.
What do we expect from the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio?
The Scorpio is a cult classic and remains a mass favourite. It is also an important car for Mahindra as it defined and solidified their position in the SUV market. So the new 2022 Mahindra Scorpio has some big shoes to fill. We expect the new Scorpio as we have been saying to get most of the cutting edge and segment first features that were debuted on the XUV700. The car has to appeal to a lot of new people and has to carry its legacy forward too. The way it is shaping up with these close to production spy shots we are seeing every week, it should be a great SUV from Mahindra again with booking numbers that will flood them again. We expect the launch announcement any time now.
