New Maruti Ertiga launched – Everything you need to know!
The launch of Kia Carens has shaken the MPV segment. These ripples have been felt by segment leaders like Ertiga and XL6. Last week Maruti had opened bookings for the new Ertiga. Now it has launched the Ertiga in India. In today’s article, we will take a look at the launched new Maruti Ertiga 2022.
Pricing and variants
The pricing of the new Ertiga starts from Rs 9.45 lakh and goes to Rs 15.05 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). It comes with five variant options – Lxi, Vxi, Zxi, Zxi+ and Tour M. Automatic gearbox is offered on Vxi, Zxi & Zxi+ variants. The CNG option is now offered on Vxi, Zxi and Tour M variants.
New Maruti Ertiga 2022 – Design
The new Ertiga gets some subtle design changes. It gets a new dynamic chrome winged front grille, new alloy wheels and back door garnish with chrome inserts. Maruti has also added two new colours- Splendid Silver and Dignity Brown. In the interiors, we get a sculpted dashboard with a new metallic teak-wooden finish & dual-tone seat fabric.
New engine and gearbox
The new Ertiga comes with the next-generation K-series 1.5-litre Dual Jet engine. This engine is capable of producing 102bhp & 137Nm of torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a new six-speed automatic torque converter gearbox with paddle shifters.
New Maruti Ertiga 2022 – Safety features
The next-generation Ertiga comes with dual front airbags, ABS & EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX standard. Additionally, it also gets four airbags and ESP with hill hold assist on the top variants.
New infotainment and features
The next-generation Ertiga comes with a new 7.0-inch Smart Play Pro infotainment system. This system can be accessed through an onboard voice assistant and can be triggered by the “Hi Suzuki” command. The new Ertiga also comes with an improved Suzuki connect with 40+ features for vehicle safety & security.
