The Mahindra Thar has achieved great success since its launch in 2020. It has been in the best selling cars list in India for a while too. A great achievement considering it the lifestyle SUV segment is a niche segment in India. In a few months, Thar will be celebrating its 2nd launch anniversary in India. And we expect Mahindra to bring a special anniversary edition of the Thar. In today’s article, we will discuss the 2022 Mahindra Thar Anniversary variant.
Cosmetic changes
The Thar anniversary edition will get a lot of cosmetic changes. It will get the same grille but with a different finish. Mahindra will also give it new bumpers and side skirts. Another thing we can see is coloured highlights on the bumper. We will also see anniversary badging at the rear and side. A new more rugged side step board is also expected.
Mahindra Thar Anniversary edition- Reverse parking camera
Currently, Thar doesn’t come with a reverse parking camera, but you can install one at the dealer. In the anniversary edition, it should come with a factory-fitted reverse parking camera. A good addition to a car as expensive as the Thar.
Wireless setup
Wireless connectivity is quickly becoming the preferred choice of charging and communication as it is more convenient. The wireless setup provides the uncluttered cabin experience, which can be quite useful in the Thar. Mahindra should be giving it both wireless charging and wireless phone connectivity to give the proper wireless experience.
Mahindra Thar Anniversary edition- Alexa compatibility
Alexa is Amazon’s virtual assistant technology that integrates into all devices. Mahindra has partnered with Amazon to provide Alexa on the XUV700. So Mahindra can offer this tech on the Thar too. Alexa compatibility is helpful to search the internet with voice commands. We also expect thae Thar to get more accessories and some different factory off-road tyres and wheels.
