There have been no new car launches from Honda since quite some time now. The last was the Amaze facelift. But this is soon going to change as Honda will be launching the hybrid version of the City. Honda has already confirmed that it will be launching the City Hybrid on 14th April. Now before the launch, Honda has started posting teasers of the City Hybrid. In today’s article, we will see the teased City Hybrid.

What did the teaser reveal?

The teaser reveals two important details of the City Hybrid. The first is that the hybrid system will be the e:HEV system. Another important detail is that the hybrid will come with the top ZX variant. Since the hybrid system will be available with the top-of-the-line variant, we expect the pricing to be kept at a premium, something that we have been speculating for quite some time now.

What else can we expect?

The City Hybrid is not expected to get any major exterior changes. It will be identical to the ICE City. Honda might give it a new colour option. Feature-wise, it is expected to get Honda Safety Sense additionally. Sensing Tech is Honda’s name for Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). It will get safety features like lane departure warning, emergency braking, front collision warning and departure warning system.

The City Hybrid will come with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. But with the e:HEV setup, it will come with two electric motors. The first motor will work as an integrated starter, while the second motor will send power to the wheels. It is expected to get an ARAI mileage of at least 25-26kmpl, making it one of the most fuel-efficient cars in India.
