Honda as a brand remains aspirational in India. Products like the City have been a favourite for so many years. But of late, it has been struggling in the Indian market with no new products to add to its lineup. With the competition gaining momentum in terms of adding products, Honda seems to be slowing down. There are however some cars in its global portfolio that it can bring to India. In today’s article, we will take a look at some Honda cars we need in India.

N-one

Honda India

The N-one is a small hatchback that looks quite cute and compact. Dimension-wise, the N-one is similar to the Brio. Honda found decent success with the Brio, but it didn’t revamp it to comply with the BS6 norms. The N-one could be the perfect replacement for the Brio.

Honda India – City hatchback

Honda India

The City hatchback is a product that sits perfectly between the Jazz and City sedan. As the hatchback is based on the sedan platform, it offers better cabin and boot space when compared to its rivals. Moreover, it also comes with a performance-enhanced RS variant, which adds to the fun to drive feel.

Ridgeline

Honda India

The Ridgeline is a pickup sold by Honda outside India. The pickup segment is still in its infancy stage here, but is expected to see a boom with the launch of Toyota Hilux here. Honda can tap on this and can also bring the Ridgeline to tap into this growth. It comes with an i-VTM torque-vectoring AWD system that automatically distributes the torque between the left and rear wheels.

Honda India – BR-V

Honda India

Currently, Honda has no seven-seater in our market after it discontinued the BR-V. But considering the progress of the seven-seater market here, the new BR-V could be a worthy competitor in this segment. The BR-V gets a sharp design with sleeking looking LED headlamps. It also comes loaded with features like adaptive cruise control, a big infotainment system, automatic braking and much more.

Honda e

Honda India

The Honda e is the brand’s first all-electric vehicle. Honda has given it quite a retro look. It gets simple round headlights and minimal design to give it a unique road presence. The e has a driving range of  280km, ideal for city driving. Honda should bring it to India as an affordable option in the electric segment.
