Kia to dominate another new segment soon
Kia India continues to impress Indian customers with its new offerings. The recently launched Carens has become an instant hit with 50,000 bookings in the first two months. The Carens is quite a unique product considering its size and pricing. So we expect Kia to enter such unique segments. Kia’s next product will be an EV6, starting its EV journey in India. The EV6 will be a unique product in India, considering its size and range figures. In today’s article, we will see Kia’s car that will dominate another new segment.
Dimensions
The EV6 may look like a small car, but dimensions-wise it is on par with cars like the Tata Safari. It is 4695mm in length, 1890mm in width, and 1545mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2900mm and has a ground clearance of 254mm.
Design
The EV6 comes with quite a futuristic design language. At the front, it gets sleek looking headlamps with a small mesh-like grille. It gets DRLs on the outlines of the headlamps. The side profile is minimalistic with plain lines. At the rear, we get a notchback design with a stretched out boot. The rear taillamps run through the entire boot giving it a modern look. In the interiors, we see simple but practical interiors.

Globally the EV6 comes with a wide variety of battery and motor configurations. A 58kWh battery pack that comes in a rear-wheel-drive layout with single motors and an All-wheel drive layout with dual motors. There is also a 77.4kWh battery pack with two layouts. It comes with range figures like 499km to 441km depending on the variants.
Features
It’s no surprise that the EV6 comes loaded with the features. It includes 12.3-inch infotainment and instrument cluster, steering mounted controls, dual-zone climate control, dynamic parking guide, 14-speaker Meridian sound system, augmented-reality heads-up display.
Kia EV6 India Launch and pricing
Though there is no confirmation from Kia regarding the EV6. There are some strong rumours that Kia will launch the EV6 in the upcoming three to four months. It will come through the CBU route, so it will be on the expensive side.
