In India, the seven-seater market has seen a lot of activity in the past few months. This trend is set to continue, with a lot of manufacturers planning to enter this segment. The recent launch of the Kia Carens has also showcased that people are looking for such cars. Last year, Renault’s sister brand Dacia launched the Jogger in Europe. The Jogger will be an ideal competitor to the Carens. In today’s article, we will see the Renault Carens Competition in detail.

The Jogger is based on the Duster, but it does have a lot of unique elements. It gets LED headlamps with Y-shaped DRLs and two slate grilles. Due to the extra row, the car looks quite big. At the rear, it gets Volvo-inspired vertical tail lamps. Other exterior features include wheel arch protection, front & rear skid plates, usable roof rails and 16-inch alloy wheels.

The Jogger gets an interior layout similar to the new-generation Duster. It gets a floating infotainment system in the middle with rectangular AC vents. It also comes with seven-seater and six-seater configurations. With all seats up, the Jogger has a boot capacity of 160-litres that rises to 565-litres with tumbled rear seats.

Renault Carens competition – India plans

Renault has not confirmed anything about the Jogger, nor the car has been spotted testing in India. But looking at the growth of the seven-seater market and the response the Carens has garnered, Renault should bring it to India. The pricing of the Jogger should start from Rs 10 to 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
