A car with heavy camouflage was spotted in Hyderabad. From the overall silhouette, it is easy to figure out this is the new-generation Tucson. The new-generation Tucson, which is already available in foreign markets gets a completely new styling. It gets a new jewel-shaped grille with DRLs integrated into it. The front of the new Creta facelift takes inspiration from this design. In the side profile, it gets new alloy wheels and roof rails. At the rear, it gets inverted L-shaped rear tail lamps with sporty exhausts.

2022 Hyundai Tucson spotted – Specifications

The new-generation Tucson will continue with the same petrol and diesel engine. It will get a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine capable of producing 150bhp & 192Nm of torque. The diesel engine will be a 2.0-litre unit capable of producing 182bhp & 400Nm of torque. Both the engines will come with an automatic gearbox option. It will also get a AWD system on its diesel engine. 

2022 Hyundai Tucson spotted – Interiors & features

The new-generation 2022 Hyundai Tucson comes with premium looking interiors. It comes with a modern dashboard layout with a big integrated touchscreen. In terms of features, it comes with multi-air technology, ventilated seats, a Krell sound system and high-speed wireless charging. Safety-wise it comes with lane following assist, highway drive assist, seven airbags and blind-spot collision avoidance.

Expected launch timeline

Hyundai is working on launching a sleeve of new SUVs in 2022 but the chip shortage is severely restricting its production capacity. This is hampering the brand’s future plans. With that being said, we can expect the new-generation Tucson in the upcoming months.
