Tata Motors has shown an amazing growth in the last few years. All its cars are recording impressive sales. Some cars like the Nexon and Punch are even leading their respective segments. But things were not always like this for Tata Motors. It struggled a lot with its product lineup till 2016, losing sales and having a market share of only 4.89%. However, Tata has now completely changed the tide, holding 11% of the market share at the end of 2021. This monumental change has helped Tata become the third biggest manufacturer in India behind Maruti and Hyundai. New design language
Tata had a major shift in its designs after introducing the IMPACT design language. In 2018, it introduced the second generation of this design philosophy called IMPACT 2.0. This has given Tata cars a sharp and modern design, attracting a lot of customers to them.

Features have become an important selling point in the Indian market. Like other manufacturers, Tata has also started loading its cars with features. Tata also provides some unique features like a 90-degree door opening, Xpress Cool, premium sound system by Harman, etc.
Tata’s EV push
Tata has also dabbled in the electric space. It has achieved great success with its Nexon EV and Tigor EV. The Nexon EV is currently the best selling electric car in India. Tata has ambitious plans with its EV lineup as it is developing focused platforms for ground-up EVs. Till then it is converting its existing cars into EVs to let people acclimate to electric vehicles.
