Mahindra is a brand that needs no introduction in the SUV space. It became successful even before the SUV craze hit India. Now Mahindra is looking to up its SUV game even further. It launched the XUV700, which has garnered a great response from buyers. The next Mahindra SUV on the launch list will be the next-generation Scorpio. Mahindra has loaded the XUV700 with a lot of features, but considering the rugged image of Scorpio, we don’t expect it to come with a lot of features from the XUV700. Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)
ADAS is a great driving aid that can help prevent accidents in crucial cases. The XUV700 comes with ADAS (Level 1). Several upcoming cars are also expected to get this feature in the future. But we don’t expect the Scorpio to come with ADAS functionality as it will increase its cost. The other point being Scorpio is targeted toward a more utilitarian crowd that will not find the ADAS to be truly useful.

The XUV700 comes with an all-wheel-drive system. With that being said, the Scorpio will come with a better off-road setup powered by a 4×4 system. The 4×4 system will help Scorpio complement its rugged persona.
Mahindra Scorpio vs XUV700- Different engine tune
Mahindra will give the Scorpio the same engines as the XUV700 but in a different state of tune. It is expected to come with a 2.0-litre petrol engine capable of producing 150bhp & 300Nm of torque. The diesel engine is expected to be a 2.2-litre engine unit capable of producing 130bhp & 360Nm of torque.
