MG ZS EV to get BETTER in 2022
MG has quickly established itself in the Indian market. It has also taken risks by launching products in niche segments. It has also dabbled in the EV space with its ZS EV. The ZS EV has also gained a decent amount of response from the customers. Globally MG launched the facelift of the ZS EV in 2021. It is expected to launch this facelift in India in 2022. Apart from the usual styling and feature updates, the ZS EV is also going to get better mechanically. In today’s article, we will see the MG ZS EV 2022.
MG ZS EV 2022 Exterior design
The facelifted model now gets a more EV like design with a closed grille. It also gets a headlamp structure similar to the Astor with sleek DRLs. The charging port has been moved on the grille beside the MG logo. It also gets new front and rear bumpers with a sportier design.
Interior and features
The interior is unlikely to get any big makeover as the exterior. MG might offer interior colours as it does on the Astor. The facelifted ZS EV is expected to get a lot of new features from the Astor. Expected features include a 10.1-inch infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. MG might also bring the AI bot and ADAS functionality to the ZS EV.
Bigger battery
The biggest change the ZS EV will get is the bigger battery. The current model comes with a 44.5kWH battery with a claimed range of 419km. In its facelift, it will get a bigger 51kWh battery. The bigger battery is expected to get a claimed mileage of around 480km. So we can expect a real-world range of around 375km.
MG ZS EV 2022 Launch and pricing
There is no official confirmation from MG regarding the launch of the facelifted ZS EV. But we can expect the launch in the upcoming months. Considering the design changes, feature addition and bigger battery, we expect a big price jump on the ZS EV.
