MG has begun its India journey in the right direction. Their first car, the MG Hector, started on the right note with the Indian audience. The MG Hector was helped by its big size and segment-first features. After Hector MG launched products like the Gloster and MG ZS EV. These were more niche products as MG explored different segments in India. Then it attacked the fastest-growing segment in India, the C-segment SUV segment with its Astor. The Astor is quite a competent product with a lot of potential in this segment. MG has filled it with features like ADAS, electronic parking brake, AI assistant and digital key etc. But still, MG has missed some useful features that it should add in an update in 2022. In today’s article, we will see two new features 2022 Astor will get.

Ventilated seats

2022 MG Astor

Ventilated seats have quickly become one of the most demanded features in India. They are not gimmicky features like some other features as they provide a lot of practical use in our hot & humid climate conditions. Almost all cars in the C-segment come with ventilated seats, so it comes as a surprise that MG didn’t offer them on the Astor.  Even lower segment cars like the Kia Sonet come with ventilated seats. We expect MG to add ventilated seats in an update in 2022. This will make it one of the most feature-loaded cars in this segment.

2022 MG Astor- Auto-dimming IRVM

2022 MG Astor

Auto-dimming IRVM is a basic feature that is quite helpful while driving at night. These mirrors are special mirrors that can automatically dim light reflecting from their surfaces. This ability is quite useful to reduce the glare from trailing vehicles reducing eye strain and fatigue. Almost all cars above Rs 8 lakh come with this feature. But surprisingly, MG has not given this feature on the Astor. The Astor comes with manual dimming IRVM. We expect MG to add this feature in the 2022 update.
