MG has enjoyed good sales in the Indian market. Its first car, the Hector, helped MG to establish itself in the market. Recently it launched the MG Astor to compete with the popular Hyundai Creta. But in the Indian market, you need to always be on your toes. MG knows this and is planning to launch some new products in the Indian market. In today’s article, we will see MG’s next cars.

As mentioned above, the Hector is a very important product for MG Motors. When Hector was launched, it was quite a unique product. But now the competition has heated up a lot affecting its sales. In this update, MG is expected to give the Hector ADAS functionality. Another addition will be an automatic gearbox on the diesel engine. The updated Hector will also get a better touchscreen with an improved UI.

MG’s next car- Nexon EV competition

MG ZS ev

Currently, MG has its presence in the EV market with its ZS EV. But the ZS EV is quite expensive when compared with the Tata Nexon. MG is working on developing an affordable EV to compete with the Nexon. This EV will be a sub-4m car with a smaller motor than the ZS EV. It is expected to get a range of around 300 to 400KM. MG might skimp on some features to make it affordable.

360M

The MPV segment is quite popular in the Indian market. Also, this segment is expected to get even more competitive with the launch of Kia and Hyundai 7-seater options. The 360M is a perfect product that MG can bring to compete with these cars. MG might load the 360M with a lot of segment-leading features to take on the competition.

Just like SUVs are gaining popularity, pickup trucks are also expected to become popular in the coming few years. Looking at this potential, MG can bring the Extender pickup to India very soon. The Extender is based on Gloster’s platform. The car will face fierce competition from the Isuzu Dmax Vcross and the rumoured Toyota Hilux.
