ADAS is quickly becoming a norm in the Indian market. New products like Mahindra XUV700 and MG Astor. Considering how important Hector is to MG, they will surely give it ADAS. Like the Astor, MG will offer Level 2 ADAS with the Hector. Diesel automatic

The Hector comes with both petrol and diesel engine options. But an automatic gearbox is only offered on the petrol engine. All the cars in this segment come with an automatic gearbox on their diesel engine. So we expect MG to offer an automatic gearbox with its diesel engine. 

MG Hector 2022 – Better infotainment system

The Hector has one of the biggest touchscreen infotainment systems in the market. Its 10.4-inch screen is placed vertically like a tablet. With that being said, the touchscreen still needs to be improved. It is let down by a laggy and unresponsive UI. MG should look to improve the UI to properly utilize the big screen. MG might also an even bigger infotainment system in the 2022 update. 

Digital instrument cluster

Currently, the MG Hector comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster. But fully-digital instrument clusters are quickly becoming a norm in modern cars. They offer more data and are easier to read than analogue clusters. Considering MG’s push for new technology, it will surely get a digital instrument cluster in the 2022 update.

MG is known for loading its cars with segment-first features. It added the Personal Assistant in the Astor and we expect this feature to be added to the Hector as well. This assistant can assist in finding locations and information while driving. Overall, MG might offer this convenience elements with the 2022 MG Hector as well.
